The trader “Freak” has been refused a stall at WGW. This is not for the reasons that they claim. Read the response from WGW.

This is WGW’s response to “Freak”’s allegation that they were refused a stall ‘due to being lesbians’.

An application by Miss Vikki Caves trading as Freak has been declined by the promoters of WGW.

Miss Caves was informed in writing that after three individual claims from regular WGW traders we would be unable to accept any future trade bookings after the promoters received several complaints of persons running the stall behaving in a lewd, vulgar and totally unacceptable manner for a family event. Having given Freak the benefit of the doubt on the first occasion, at the second instance even more complaints of a similar nature were received along with those from fellow traders of the stall holders having a rude and obnoxious attitiude.

WGW is a family event and, whilst such antics maybe suitable for a fetish or evening event, we felt that such behaviour was totally unacceptable and inappropriate for WGW. Specualation that this was due to the owners being lesbian is totally unfounded. Regulars to the event will know our frontman and compere Craig Hamilton is openly gay and about as camp as they come. Such distasteful behaviour of persons of any sex will be met with exactly the same treatment.
