The forum will be unavailable from about midnight Saturday (15th Jan 2005) until some time (probably in the evening) on Sunday (16th Jan 2005) for maintenance.

I haven’t decided as yet if the forums will continue to be powered by YaBB, as this forum does get a lot of traffic and consequently uses a lot of bandwidth, so I may implement a different forum application which is better suited to high volume usage.

Also, the new forum will be likely be moving to its own subdomain (forum.topmum.co.uk) or (forum.wgw.topmum.co.uk) after the weekend, but I haven’t decided which is the more practical name yet. This will also let us manage the forum better, and perhaps add a few features not currently available (depending on the software used).

If there is any information you want to keep, I’d suggest copying it from the forum today: the new forum software (if any) may not be able to import the existing forum database and the current content of the forum may be unavailable for a while.
