WGW Online Store

The WGW online Store is now up and running and the technical problems have been sorted. If you wish to buy tickets please go here

Hmm, I like the “PLEASE DO NOT USE THE STORE !” message on front page of the store. Is this some sort of mind game? ;-)

Yes - the ” Please do not use this store ! ” message is confusing - along with the fact that tickets for WGW are actually cheaper to buy from ticket re-sellers than from here, which is the WGW main site itself !!
Now that is confusing ……

I’m afraid I don’t see the connection, Dirk - not undermining/undercutting your own distributors sounds like standard pratice in retail to me - telling your customers not to use the store, on the other hand, is an exciting new business model ;-)

AKB I’ve never heard of a retailer who buys goods from a wholesaler, then sells the product at a cheaper price than the wholesaler is selling it for LOL !

It’s NOT up and running - so remove the message saying it is!
Incidentally - how is it you still can’t get it fixed after all this time?

I’ve just tried to use the store and ordered some tickets but it wouldn’t let me pay for them? It also doesn’t seem possible to now cancel this order, it’s still appearing on my account as pending? What I don’t want to do is end up buying tickets elsewhere only to find your expecting me to pay for tickets I’ve tried to order here too. Could you let us all know what’s going on?

Patrick. Just click on view basket and then remove items. Sorted.

It won’t let me pay! How come you have a sign saying paypal and then it takes you to an invalid world pay thing? Can i send my payment through paypal instead?

Just buy your tickets from the Whitby Tourist Information office by ringing 01947 602124 - they are very organised and friendly, process your order over the phone immediately, and ticket prices are cheaper than on here too !

as a reply to all these comments we are working on a solution at the moment.

Dirk: afaik The Tourist information don’t have the earlybird tickets. These are cheap tickets as the bands have not been announced. So therefore the Whitby TI will not be cheaper. Once the bands have been announced the full price tickets will be relased and released to the resellers.

Axy _ 666 ; Are you saying that the tickets that the TI ( and Vagabonds too ) are selling at present are NOT then valid for entry to the Spa Pavillion, and to see all the bands at the WGW in October ??
