Sophie Lancaster Fundraiser
Our event in the Spa on Thursday 29/10/09 raised £1100 for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. We had around 200 generous patrons through the doors and over 30 people volunteered their services for free to help out. A massive thank-you to everyone involved, in particular Old Goth & Hazel.
The Rifle Club
It is with regret that we announce that we will no longer be running our Comedy Nights at this venue. The new Manager, Mike Pelling, feels that despite several sell out evenings, the venue is losing revenue by running Goth events and he wishes to revert it to an evening purely for members and regular customers.

Tickets are available for April 2010 Whitby Gothic Weekend, with a special offer, from the Tickets page. Pay by PayPal before 15th November and receive a FREE Fringe Ticket upgrade.

Postal Strikes
If anyone’s tickets have been delayed or gone missing due to the postal strikes, don’t worry! Just bring a print out of your ticket purchase and some ID (passport, driver’s license, recent utility bill, etc) to The Spa and we’ll sort you out.

WGW 2010 Dates
Apologies for sending this kind of email to you all, but an important development in the Whitby Gothic Weekend has taken place and we felt you may like to know. Also since many of you may have mailing lists of your own, or club websites. Myspace or facebook pages etc, then we would ask that you help to spread the word through those. The Whitby Gothic Weekend is one of Europes longest running festivals and as such we feel that we should, as a community, do what we can to help save it.
Even if you don’t sign, please help us to spread the word to allow others to make up their mind.
